Construction will start this summer on Enbridge's 1,700-kilometre Line 3 replacement pipeline, the largest project the company has ever undertaken.

Several pipeline projects have been proposed to pass through the Prairies, though this will be the first to proceed. The $7.5-billion Line 3 replacement from Hardisty, Alta., to Superior, Wis., was approved by Justin Trudeau's Liberal government last fall, at the same time as the Trans Mountain expansion.

Sigma Components has invested over USD$1m in its manufacturing facilities in the UK and China to increase capacity and meet growing customer demand.

The investment includes specialist equipment to boost the aero-engine and airframe applications components manufacturer’s fabrication and pipe manufacturing capabilities. It has also led to the creation of over 50 jobs in Nuneaton, Hinckley and Farnborough.

LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil & gas company Zenith Energy said on Friday it has confirmed that Well M-195 in the Muradkhanli field in Azerbaijan has eight metres of permeable hydrocarbon pay, following a recently completed Pulsed Neutron Log.

Zenith has contracted Italian coiled tubing company Smape Srl to perform well interventions in the Muradkhanli, Jafarli and Zardab fields. For well M-195, Smape will bring a coiled tubing unit on June 24 in order to resume production at the well, after its flow had to be cut off to pull out the drill string on June 5.
