LOS ANGELES - SMTCL has announced the development of a new horizontal turning center, the EHC125300. SMTCL says this machine demonstrates the company's commitment to United States’ job shop customers by allowing them to get a large high-quality machine tool at a cost effective price.

TMK IPSCO plans to create 168 jobs by end of the year

Nationwide, TMK IPSCO is bringing back more than 1,000 jobs in Iowa, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma, Mastervich said.

CATOOSA — When the price of oil nosedived, one of this area’s casualties was TMK IPSCO, which idled its plant in September 2015.

"There was really no business for us," said Joel Mastervich, vice president and chief operating officer of the company, which does welding, heat-treating and threading on pipes used in drilling operations. "We had to make tough decisions back then. So we did."

SUZHOU, China—Tekni-Plex Inc. is expanding its global footprint and product offerings through two of its subsidiaries.

First, the firm is investing $15 million for a new manufacturing facility in Suzhou, near Shanghai. The firm said it represents the single largest recent investment by Tekni-Plex, responding to the growing needs of the Asia-Pacific pharmaceutical and medical device markets. The site will manufacture products from three of the firm's units—Natvar, Colorite and Action Technology.
